We’re here to help children and their families living with chronic pain.

Chronic and complex pain conditions can be exhausting,
isolating and are often misunderstood, especially in children.


Pediatric pain and chronic illness impact the entire family, creating unique challenges for parents who must navigate the medical system, school and “normal” family life. For over a decade, TCAPP has been supporting children living with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Mitochondrial Disease, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and other complex pain conditions. We offer support, information and community to help children and families feel less alone.

These programs and services are designed to give kids with chronic illnesses and pediatric pain a little extra joy and hope and bring smiles to their faces.

TCAPP has sponsored our Pediatric Pain Camp since 2015 at The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK), in Scottsville, KY. We are proud to be the first ever camp for children living with chronic pain conditions. Our camp offers a fully accessible with a swimming pool, horseback riding, campfires, arts & crafts, fishing, mini golfing, stage day and everyone’s favorite: MESSY GAMES!!! Our camp is free for the entire family because we know pediatric pain affects not only the child, but their entire family. Camp is an opportunity to meet other
children/families who understand pediatric pain and make new friends. Our camp is a dream come true for TCAPP and all our children/families. As one of our campers said, “CCK is better than Disney World”.

Our Send A Smile programs include sending gifts to children in the hospital, recovering from surgeries or procedures, and just to let them know they are not alone on their journey. TCAPP also offeres online events such as LEGO Build & Chats, Escape Rooms, Murder Mysteries, Crochet classes, Arts & Crafts, Painting, etc. WE hope these programs will give children living in chronic pain hope, joy, friendships and smiles.
