Summer Camp for Children Living with Pain!

As a proud partner of both The Center For Courageous Kids (CCK) and Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Association (RSDSA), TCAPP coordinated the country’s first summer camp for kids living with complex pain conditions in 2015. This July 2024 will be our eighth year working together with CCK to provide a life changing experience for children suffering with complex pain conditions and their families. Our week at CCK includes the entire family because we understand that pain conditions affect not only the patient, but the entire family.

CCK is accessible so all children can participate in the daily activities offered to the campers – even if they use a wheelchair, crutches, a cane/walker, have AFOs, etc. TCAPP’s campers enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, arts and crafts, music, mini-golf and everyone’s favorite – “MESSY GAMES.” Parents have said TCAPP’s Pediatric Pain Week was life changing for both their children and themselves. Our camp provides FUN for our children and let’s them feel like a kid the whole time they are here. CCK’s staff includes a full time nurse practitioner and nurses during our time at camp. The CCK medical staff provides great care for our medically complex children.
